A good overview is already available via command line: cmd-k and then type and select: Open GPT log monitor

But that gpt log monitor doesn't give you a report on credit usage, it gives you a report on tokens and cost per request. But we still don't have any detailed transparency of the way that usage maps to credits.

This is a great addition, I'd love for there to be a way to add a keyboard shortcut for this!

A Mac OS Share extension for the Desktop App would be really valuable, enabling me to clip resources from all over the OS directly into my inbox or daily note. The most valuable place to support this...

Couldn't you use an Alfread workflow here? (I use Raycast script commands for this)

There is no dedicated Mac app as far as I am aware. All you can do is install Tana as a PWA. You can also do that on iPad. It's just the iPadOS Safari Browser and the underlying webkit that make it di...

The styling, especially the subtle flash, behind the references is 🤌 (chef's kiss). Looks fantastic. That said, I've noticed a slight dip in the ease of editing. Previously, it took just a single cl...

I absolutely agree that it adds resistance. I don't quite understand the rationale behind it (for me at least it's solving a problem that didn't exist).

    PS: What's that font?

Is there still some way to indicate if something is a reference, search, contextual etc once an icon is added ?

This really would be helpful to restore

The alignment and spacing for inline references seems off now. As seen below, there is a perceivable difference in spacing between "hello" and the inline reference to the node "world" in the first bullet and the spacing between "hello" and just plain string "world"

It would be great to fix this, I find it very disconcerting

The changes to editing references has interfered with opening links by click on the name of a URL node. Before, a reference to a node like the following:

    Screenshot 2023-12-20 at 9.39.55 PM.png

Could be clicked on directly to open the link. This is no longer the case and it's very unintuitive. If something is marked on a link, it should be directly clickable to open.

It would be nice if first child nodes under a published node could be displayed as children. That is, it would be nice if the structure in Tana here:

    Screenshot 2023-12-01 at 7.59.45 PM.png

Could have level 2 nodes displayed as a list, instead of either paragraphs, quotes, or headings:

One solution to this would be to have a clipboard filter implemented in something like Keyboard Maestro or Raycast.

Another killer feature the desktop app would be the ability to deeplink to specific nodes and have them open in the desktop app.

A big request for me - the ability to add custom fonts/css to the desktop app. I don't like the default Tana typography at all, really.

Some immediate thoughts (I'm on macOS 13)

    • Closing the Tana window should not quit the app. This means it has to start up each time, which is very annoying
    • ⌘W should close the window without quitting, ⌘H should hide the app
    • ⇧⌘E opening the voice recording from anywhere is great but it's frustrating that it requires the app to be focused - this (1) means that you can't use the shortcut if Tana is not running (which it's going to be if you've closed the window on Mac) and (2) means you actually end of context switching to Tana which in my opinion defeats the purpose of a universal short cut
    • Having a universal shortcut for regular quick capture would be WONDERFUL

@Matthew Barlow would you mind elaborating how does your connection with Airtable look like (here or in Slack community)?

You can do this with custom CSS injected via a Chrome extension like Stylus or Tana Enhancer! See this bit of CSS
