I also have a lot of data in Airtable and hope to synchronize it with Tana.

To implement this function, you need to provide an alias for the node.
-
You can also have other style blocks like NotIon to increase the readability of the page.
-
It is very inconvenient to operate the nodes by clicking on the small dots with a mouse or using cmd+arrow keys.
So I have some shortcut key suggestions:- cmd+click: Expand the node.
- cmd+shift+click: Enter the node.
- cmd+option+click: Expand all child nodes.
- shift+return: Inline line break
After using cmd, the node will be activated and become a "block" similar to Notion.
At the same time, it can be combined with shortcut keys to perform operations on the "block".

Aug 15, 2023 Correct. But should probably be better documented. Hover over the bullet on the side to see created/modified at. You can see how to set up searches for them here https://help.tana.inc/live-search.html...I understand that system fields can be inserted, such as "#day". But I think this is a redundant and unnecessary step. If I do not annotate the nodes with supertags, it means that I cannot retrieve the node when searching for a specific time period. Therefore, I believe that each node should default to include creation and modification time, as well as creator information.

If there is still time needed to handle the network issue, then I hope we can quickly switch to a gentler offline prompt that minimally interrupts people's train of thought. These forced and abrupt prompts are really driving people crazy!
I hope that during normal operation, only a small green dot and a small red dot are needed to indicate the online status of the software. Only when exiting in an offline state without saving content, a pop-up reminder can be displayed. (Of course, it would be better if temporary local saving is possible.)

For long-form writing in Tana, I found a suitable adjective "nesting hell".

Jul 27, 2023 Excellent idea! Similar to your suggestion you can also think of a "Page View" and "Node View" option for each node, but where in "Page View" each child node turns into a "block" similar to what we kn...Wow, that's exactly what I was thinking.
I also hope that, through this way, I can solve the problem of not knowing when to create a new page or continue writing on the current page. -
I really need to improve the readability of the tana page, that is, the style.
I hope that tana can support simple markdown syntax and provide users with some preset block usage (just like notion, anytype, capacities). Provide presets such as time, quote, code, separator style, todo, etc.

- Option to hide fields
I quite agree with this problem, but I don't think simple concealment is the best solution.

Also want to add anytype's knowledge graph examples, but found that someone has already mentioned it. In addition, there is also a good representation in the form of an Obsidian plugin: (obsidian-3d-graph)
I really like this 3D effect.
