Yes, this is a big problem. As a workaround to help me keep my sanity, I created #tana (template for nodes) where I tag all the different "helper" nodes I use to build dashboards within other supertags. As I make any updates, I'm able to easily locate them and then go to the supertags that use them (which I keep in the description of the helper node) and delete/replace them to ensure it's updated everywhere.
