Current nodes movement via mouse is very limited.

Suggest a solution
Result of dropping a node under another node which depends on the horizontal position it is dropped:
- on another node or right under it, more to the left = as a sibling located under that node
- on another node or right under it, more to the right = as a child, inside that node.
