Scan documents in Tana Capture
Explain the problem as you see it
I often backup physical documents, but just taking photos of them does not look as nice as using the scan functionality in iOS Notes app.
Why is this a problem for you?
Just taking photos of documents does not look as aesthetically pleasing as using a special scan functionality. The scan functionality in iOS is able to edit, enhance and make documents more readable. I would like the same option in the Tana app to elegantly capture and save my documents in Tana.
Suggest a solution
Add a "Scan document" feature in the Tana Capture app that uses the built-in scanning functionality of iOS devices. This would allow users to scan physical documents using their phone's camera and the scanning interface they are already familiar with.
Using the native iOS scanning interface would provide a seamless experience for users and high quality scans. The scanned documents would retain their readability and be optimized for digital use and storage. Allowing scans to be directly imported and saved into Tana would provide a convenient, centralized place for users to keep all their digitized documents organized.
This type of scanning feature is commonly found in other productivity and document management apps, so adding it would help bring Tana up to speed with user's needs and expectations. Please let me know if you have any other questions or would like me to clarify any part of this solution proposal.
