I think it should copy Obsidian's way of doing aliases:
A use case for me is referencing the solutions we sell. They have abbreviations, but also full names of course. E.g. ERP and Enterprise Resource Management should be pointing to the same node. I also have software solutions that have 3 different aliases. They should all point to the same node. You can also use this for #person. Say you have John Doe. I'd like to be able to refer to him as John, John Doe, John D., and The bold guy. All pointing to the same node. Taking it to the next level is when the alias does not have to be unique. So John could be referencing John Doe, OR John Johnson (you select the correct one in the search results). All this is available in Obsidian.
