Making date selection more natural.

Actions

Explain the problem as you see it

Most of my date fields are single day...when I go to enter a date, I have to find the date in the picker, which can take a while, and then when I find it, I have to go click the 'ok' button, which I often forget to do and the change then doesn't take.

Why is this a problem for you?

it slows down workflows that use dates at scale.

Suggest a solution

  1. Get rid of the OK button. Most date pickers these days (on websites and in apps) just automatically close and commit after you pick a date (or range). Feels like Tana should follow that pattern.

  2. Again, as in most date pickers on the web, it would be great to also be able to just type in the date to jump the calendar there, or type in a relative date (3 weeks, or next tuesday, etc).

selecting a node in a "options from supertag" field doesn't scale beyond a few supertag instances.

Actions

Explain the problem as you see it

When I'm populating an "options from supertag" field of a Supertag...i.e., setting the 'project' field of a 'task' node), I have to scroll through the entire list of possible supertags (i.e., all the projects). As soon as that list gets to any length, this is painful to do over and over again. esp. because there's no clear ordering on the list.

Why is this a problem for you?

Without this, it's prohibitively difficult to create workflows that rely on relationships between supertags for any meaningful use case.

Suggest a solution

a type-to-filter on the list or something of that sort would be incredibly helpful.
