Explain the problem as you see it
Tana is very powerful.
But with great power comes great responsibility
......and the risk of overwhelming visual clutter.
Why is this a problem for you?
The clutter is distracting, increases friction and takes up valuable screen real estate.
The information we want to read is often overwhelmed by elements
Suggest a solution
Fields
- Hide Hidden fields: The list of hidden fields under a node is also visual clutter
- Option to display fields as collapsible bullet points: To remove the table clutter of the side by side format.
- Make it easier to edit fields within a supertag: to reduce the need to open additional panels
Dates
- Make Date Elements Formattable : Like Excel "hh:mm" rather than the like sentences we end up with now.
Panels
- Hotkey to open a panel that replaces an existing one: so we don't end up with a pile of side panels taking over the screen.
- A stackable side panel: Like roam where short pages can be opened, staked upon one another. Perhaps another hotkey
- Make it easier to edit fields within a supertag: to reduce the need to open panels
- Make supertag panels more information dense: to reduce need for scrolling
