Curated Random Daily Banners

Actions

Explain the problem as you see it

Using the daily page can be a relatively dry and 'left brain' experience.

Why is this a problem for you?

I want to use Tana as a guide for daily meditation and creativity, and I want Tana to be inhabited with elements that I know will help put me in that state of mind.

Suggest a solution

I am suggesting a utility that will let you supertag a curated group of images that have meaning to you (in my case images of Faroe Islands and Iceland), and have the banner image pull up a random instance of that pre-tagged group of files.

I've been doing this manually once a week for over a year and I can't do without it. The psychological affect changes how I start thinking in the morning while using Tana.

I feel confident that this user experience would positively affect a much broader group if it was a 'no friction' feature of the app, and not a custom workaround.

Here is a short video:

Video Embed at Banner

Actions

Explain the problem as you see it

  • One common problem faced by users of note-taking websites is the limitation of expressing their ideas through text and images alone. This can be particularly frustrating for those in creative fields who need to express their ideas visually or through multimedia content.
  • The solution to this problem is to integrate embedded video functionality into the note-taking software. This feature would enable users to easily add videos to their notes, providing a more immersive and engaging experience that enhances their workflow.
  • With the ability to incorporate videos, users will be able to communicate their ideas more effectively, resulting in a more dynamic and creative environment.
  • By incorporating this feature, the note-taking website can transform from a static tool to a truly multimedia platform.

Why is this a problem for you?

In practice, I try to initiate a creative atmosphere while using Tana, but I end up using 3 or 4 active browser windows to do so, and only one is actually Tana

Suggest a solution

Allow youtube videos to be embedded in Banners, instead of just images. This could open a whole new dynamic in how Tana is used.
