If Tana wants to be used for note-taking and outlining, it needs to make writing essays easy. The best learners write essays and make mind maps to learn. Mind maps are a heavy lift, but essays should...
I feel like the easiest way to do this would just be:
Expose in supertag options how that supertag displays in Tana's Publish View
Add new display options in publish view such as "quote", "bulleted_list_item", "numbered_list_item", "hidden", etc.
Rely on existing ! syntax for heading levels.
Make Tana's Publish View editable, so we can work totally from there when in "focus mode" on a text.
Make it possible on a supertag to hide all fields (and stay hidden), so that they don't show in Publish view or while writing and distract.
The last thing that would help here, for poets like myself, would just be to make line breaks possible inside any node with shift + enter. Then users can create a "stanza" tag as needed.

All this would stay in Tana's ethos of being highly composable and essentially allow us to make templates for any kind of document we can imagine.
You don't have permission to do this.
You're going a bit too fast! Take a break and try again in a moment.
