There is no way to create notes containing complex mathematical equations.

I'd like to take notes on topics like type theory and category theory.
Suggest a solution
Integrate MathJax or KaTeX to render equations from user entered TeX source. Ideally both inline equations and equation blocks would be supported. Being able to trigger equation markup with surrounding $ would be ideal for me, but I understand that translation of markdown characters are not part of your design at the moment.
You might look to Notion or Dropbox Paper for UX ideas. I like Obsidian a lot, but it's a slightly different editing model and might not match your vision.
