Explain the problem as you see it
I’ve spent the last month moving my professional note taking system into Tana and I’m blown away by just how powerful it is.
I know you’ve marked https://ideas.tana.inc/posts/17-complete-backup-export-and-import as recently released because of the manual functionality to export to markdown, but at present this doesn’t meet my needs because I would have to take manual action.
The problem is that I would need to regularly remember to export my notes if I wanted to ensure I could recover from a failure either at your end or mine.
Why is this a problem for you?
I’m now at a point where I’d like to, and am certainly in the direction of, moving a significant amount of my professional functioning into tana. This is exciting, but also scary.
A few years ago when I first started using RemNote, they made a change without warning which resulted in me losing three months of notes. Back then I wasn’t as meticulous as I am being now, but even that was incredibly painful and damaging to my working life.
If I’m to use Tana in the way I want to, I need to know there is a reliable recovery mechanism. I’m now at a point where I’d like to, and am certainly in the direction of, moving a significant amount of my professional functioning into. This is exciting, but also scary.

Suggest a solution
I’d like to be able to configure scheduled json backups to a location on disk (or cloud storage) that can be imported back into tana (or transformed into another format)
