Explain the problem as you see it
At the moment I use iPad. Pro versions but they are quite old. And the application does not install on this iPad. Although the Pro version is quite productive and does not require such frequent updates as phones. Since the device does not require frequent updates, but is part of a multiplatform. Consider using the application on older versions, perhaps in a truncated form, perhaps with signs that when changing iPad I will get more functions.
Why is this a problem for you?
This is a problem, because many applications that occupy the market as multi-platform, for example Todoist Tisktikk. Bind me to scenarios where I can take any device and quickly use applications. Your application imposes restrictions, which does not lead to a positive experience. Of course, you can do it through the Browser, of course, you can update the iPad. But the point is that competitors have everything working, albeit indirectly. And I understand that this imposes difficulties, since the application development processes sometimes initially cut off such opportunities. But the use case on all devices is violated. And when in some applications they are truly multi-platform, and in others there are restrictions. The choice is obvious.
Suggest a solution
If possible, support the maximum number of devices. Especially devices that are not essential for updating (Tablets and so on...)
