Full, native Zotero integration would make this very compelling.

Zotero integration would be helpful for the researchers and also for the ones who need to read many PDFs.
I second that a robust Zotero integration is vital for all users in academia.
Zotero integration is very important for all users in academia and knowledge management.
Yes yes yes please to integrated (or plugin) sync with Zotero. This would be better than the Tana Copy approach IMO.
If there is a way to build that so it can pull in highlights and notes from annotated pdf's (as described here https://tanacommunity.slack.com/archives/C03MU8E2PC2/p1688722218652209 ) it would be AMAZING. Thanks!
I offer my unequivocal support for this proposal. The paramount reason for my students and me to embrace Tana lies in our continued pursuit of a note-taking software that deftly navigates the complexities of literary management and composition. The synergistic union between Obsidian and Zotero has garnered widespread acclaim within the scholarly community. Particularly noteworthy is the ability to seamlessly integrate annotations from PDFs into Obsidian via templates, enabling the astute identification of arguments and evidence through color-coded highlights. However, I must lament the absence of bidirectional synchronization with the current Zotero integration, a deficiency that noticeably impedes the efficiency of literature note-taking. Were Tana to achieve seamless synchronization between Zotero and its own system, the resulting experience would be nothing short of extraordinary.
Completely agree - Zotero and Tana are ideal synergistic apps. Many academics are users of both; integration could very meaningfully increase use cases and functionality for both.
