Whilst I'm loving the new Voice Memos from Tana Capture and their potential, I'm less keen on the tone of the produced article and summary. For example, my summary begins with "Hello" and ends with "Regards" which is totally inappropriate. Will there be a way to moderate the language to suit the user in the way ChatGPT uses its "remember" feature? I have trained it to use my writing style. Thanks for the work, Tana Team. 👏

I love the new Voice feature. BUT it seems to have stopped working for me. My voice notes are going to the Inbox again and not into my #day. I don't know whether something has reset - but I cannot find where to look.

Can you tell me where to check before I report a bug??

I work mainly from my desktop, and when I'm in a groove I don't want to go from keyboard to phone to make a voice memo. I would love to see Voice Memo enabled as a command / keyboard shortcut.
Edit: nevermind, it is a keyboard command already! The Help article https://tana.inc/docs/voice-memo only mentions Tana Capture. My feedback now is to clarify both methods in the documentation.

Here are 3 attempts to create a Task using voice notes in Tana Capture for "Fertilize the grass today":

  1. Продолжение следует...
  2. The date of November 10, 2017
  3. The Sign of the Cross

More customizability here generally would be welcome, even necessary, in my opinion. The functionality of memos seems more 'all or nothing' than the typical Tana feature.

  • I assume that there are commands/prompts that set the rewrites. I would love to have control over these
  • I assume there are commands that set for example where these memos go when processed. I would love control over where these go, for example changing these from going to today by default and going somewhere else instead
  • The ability to find more than just tasks - this is present in the meeting processor, so it's odd to me that there isn't a way to look for things like 'entities' like is possible from meeting notes. In other words, what meetings can process should be available in memos as well.

Is there a way to configure that voice memos are assigned a certain supertag?
To me, this is important so that I can set up my own workflow about how (and when) to process them - and not depend on remembering to pick up untagged nodes on the day node. (This is against the Tana philosophy in my opinion).
This could be done when they are processed in the Inbox and moved to the day page.
I am going to set it up so that I can associate it with a project or a content source (like a book, video, podcast) and then queue it to be fully processed in the right context at the relevant time.

Also, it would be great to be able to see/modify what supertag to use for the assigned tasks.
And the output from task assignments are quite hit-and-miss as it is now. It would be good to be able to modify the prompt. And/or perhaps to be able to control it better if task assignments are to be done at all.
Far from all transcripts are business meetings. (In my case, 0% of them).

I use memos mostly to relay thoughts, ideas and insights. For example, while I am listening to a podcast or audio book on the go. These will later go in my PKM or in my ideas for content writing.
It is not a problem that the system extracts potential actions (I would just love to be able to prompt in more variants).
(For some of my insight memos, in the future I may prompt it for ideas for writing topics or content pieces. For example, by comparing it to my past writing work. Additions or augmentations.)

BUT as it is now, I end up with mostly "junk" in the task assignments. So I keep that as a "dead" supertag and then I may assign my real action tag if any of it is relevant.
It is OK to have a supertag as "inbox for potential tasks" but if this begins to work better (read: so that I actually begin to use the feature) I will look to adapt that supertag in a way so that I get command buttons to assign/route the item to where I want. Perhaps not on the #task supertag, but on the #voicememo supertag that I plan to make for my processing.

Question: is it by design that the "Rewrite" button on a voice memo is only visible when the node is shown in a separate panel? (Like, in the inbox). When it is moved to my day page, this button/menu is no longer visible when I expand the node.

First time user, still finding my way.

Voice memos are one of my main reasons for signing up and I used them to record a multi person conversation for the first time yesterday. It picked up my Geordie english accent as being spoken Welsh language. There is a similar cadence to the Geordie and Welsh accents so I can see how this happened.

AI chat suggested I change language settings in Capture , there are no obvious ways to access settings in the app.

Is it possible to change language recognition settings in capture or in Tana desktop ?
