Explain the problem as you see it
I have a number of searches that bring tasks, events etc to my day node or my focus bar. As a filtered list view these work well. Some of these queries (especially meetings / events) work better in a calendar view. If the search with calendar view is embedded in a supertag or a pre-defined view, I have to click the "today" button to reset it.
Why is this a problem for you?
User experience can be improved - it generates some additional clicks in my workflow, and can result in not seeing some information if I am not aware that the calendar view is not aligned with the date page / mental date space I am working in.
Suggest a solution
Add an option to the calendar display settings (day length etc) to automatically move the calendar to the current system date when it is opened (keeping the day, week or month view but shifting it forward)
I propose it as an option because it might be that I do NOT want the calendar date to move for other types of applications, f.ex. project planning, status reviews.
