Explain the problem as you see it
Others have asked for highlight capability in Tana, but nobody has specifically asked for colored highlights. I make extensive use of copy/pasted block quotes with colored highlights when I take notes on what I read, and without that capability I can't do most of my note taking in Tana.
Why is this a problem for you?
For me this is a must-have feature. It's one of the reasons I'm still using Roam.
Suggest a solution
Add colored highlight (and block quote) capability to Tana

This should be merged with https://ideas.tana.inc/posts/49-highlighting-text-in-addition-to-bold-italic-underlining-amp-h1-h2-h3-sizing
Agreed, is there some process for merging ideas? Does it have to be done by someone from the Tana team?
Can't easily merge them, but have marked this one as a duplicate, thanks Adam
@Matt M : Wait it's not a duplicate because colored highlights isn't mentioned anywhere else, is it?
Well, I see Parham Shafti mentions them in the comments of "Highlighting text (in addition to bold, italic, underlining) & H1, H2, H3 sizing", but it's not in the main body of the "idea".
I'm constantly trying to find a better outliner than Dynalist, but there are so many missing features. Tana, it turns out, is the closest match, but the lack of multiple colors is one of the deal-breakers.
A useful workaround is creating supertags with different colours (with your own description of each highlight colour). When you see some text you want to highlight, you can select and @ mention the text, and then apply the colour tag to it.
The benefit of this method is that you can then create specific searches and workflows for each colour highlights.
