Explain the problem as you see it
There are two main issue with the image management in Tana:
- the image is added in a node and visible only when this is expanded
- the loading time to add an image is long
Why is this a problem for you?
Both of the problems explained break the flow of taking notes during a meeting or a presentation
Suggest a solution
- The Image should be visible always (even not expanded), the image itself should be the node without naming the node, if needed the image will be a children of another node (title)
- improve the speddnes on how to upload, I do not know if possible to see a lower quality preview in the meantime the total image is uploaded
My suggestion is to look at how Logseq manage images.

YES!!! Workflowy has a VERY smooth implentation of this. Try inserting an image in an outline over there. It’s instant, and very elegant. Hopefully the Tana team will figure it out very soon.
Still work to come on images, but recent updates include full screen images, released in October. From announcement:
Oh look, pretty pictures
If you refresh your Tana, you will now have access to Fullscreen images!
With fullscreen images, you can Open images in full screen with a button, or by pressing 'space' when the image is selected. Use arrow keys to navigate between sibling image nodes
🆇 Press space to close (and also x-button and esc as usual)
