Explain the problem as you see it
I would like to add simple tables as node in my summary of research papers and as part of the outline of my own research. This only possible via a screenshot. Having the table as a node type would let me search for the content.
Why is this a problem for you?
It is tricky to work with numeric data in Tana and having an additional format to ingest it would enhance the experience.
Suggest a solution
Allow for simple markdown tables where we can add columns and rows and insert a caption.

+1. Really need a spreadsheet-like simple table.
Agree. need an option to build simple table that's not always relying on live search
Yes, really need the table/spreadsheet feature.
I agree we need tables to show text content in cells. A typical example shows the pros, cons and comments for a list of products. I could set up "Pros," "Cons," and "Comments" fields to contain the text, but I doubt that's what you had in mind with tables. I would rather have a table with "Pros," "Cons," and "Comments" **headings **rather than fields.
