Zen Mode - distraction-free, full screen, blank page editing

Explain the problem as you see it

For Tana to be the place I reside in, I need a distraction-free writing environment.

Why is this a problem for you?

The absence of a clean writing environment means that I currently work in Drafts as much or more than in Tana.

This is a problem since Tana is becoming a log, rather than a tool for thinking in (and I am terrible at maintaining logs, unless they are a product of my workflow)

I am almost at the point of organising Drafts as my journal rather than Tana, just because that's where I do the writing and the writing is the work.

Suggest a solution

A short-term fix could be really easy, since Tana already has the Cmd-E quick capture mechanism - and rather than a cluttered, small modal, this could be a large, full screen clutter-free modal--a short-cut could toggle between the two.

Ultimately we really need native apps that can integrate the quick capture to the daily page into the OS in the same way that Drafts achieves, but for now a css fix would take us a long way.

I agree. I really like Tana because it feels like Workflowy and Notion had a baby. However, there are times when I would like to use it like Workflowy - focusing on the content - a blank canvas where you can write simple bulleted text. There are other times when I need to work on the structure of the data and it's necessary to see all of the UI and clutter.

Working on content and working on structure should be distinct modes and togglable via a shortcut. This relates to https://ideas.tana.inc/posts/35-option-to-markhidemark-markfieldsmark where it was requested to hide super tag fields optionally.

There should be a keyboard shortcut to switch between the two modes. I really like Craft on Mac's implementation - cmd+. and all of the UI clutter slides away.
